Gold-plated men’s pocket watch by American Waltham, USA, ‘Traveller’ model, circa 1900, running Movement: crown-wound, lever escapement, Breguet balance spring; runs; plates scratched; signs of corrosion; 1 gear rusty; one tooth broken off the coupling wheel. No guarantee of accuracy or long-term reliability. Gold-plated case (20 microns); gold plating worn away at the edges; spring cover slightly warped; mainspring worn out. Enamelled dial with Roman numerals, marked ‘American Waltham U.S.A.’. Diameter 52 mm Weight with chain 108 g
