Unusual pocket watch with central seconds, cylinder escapement and crown-winding mechanism, signed H. Riondet, c. 1890, running Unusual movement with a floating barrel, central seconds, cylinder escapement and an elaborately gilded plate; the position indicator is missing. The movement is in working order and keeps good time. Enamelled dial with Roman numerals, showing hairline cracks. Blued steel hands. Solid nickel case marked ‘American Watch France Etranger’, ‘H Riondet Comptoir General 9 B.Poissonnière Depose 18709, 9’. Diameter 54 mm Weight 112.6 g
