Description

An opulent, volute-shaped casing with floral decoration (blossoms, garlands etc.) in pristine original condition; perforated metal panels fitted to the sides; the gilding is perfectly preserved; unfortunately, no maker’s marks are visible; the high quality of the casting and the chasing suggest that this clock may have been manufactured by Susse Frères or Ferdinand Barbedienne. The movement, featuring an anchor escapement, a pendulum with spring suspension, and half-hour and hour strikes on a bell (rack strike mechanism), is in good working order; it is marked: Vincenti & Cie. Medaille D’Argent 1855 C.H. Paris (Charles Hour) A.1 The enamelled dial with Roman numerals is in very good condition. Dimensions: Height: 65 cm Width: 42 cm Depth: 16 cm The original pendulum and 2 keys are included in the offer.
