Description
A beautiful, carved cuckoo clock with a mainspring movement, marked ‘IB’, The case, featuring lavish carvings (oak leaves, rifles, etc.), is crowned by a chamois. The case shows signs of woodworm damage; the chamois has traces of glue. Fine dial with Roman celluloid numerals and hand-carved horn hands. Typical brass plate movement with an ornate lyre; this runs for 1 day and chimes on the half and full hours, including a gong strike; it is marked ‘2 IB’ A matching pendulum is included in the offer.
