Description
The delicate case is shaped like a temple flanked by four columns; on three sides, there are porcelain inlays finely painted in gold and enamel. The two vases are designed to match; unfortunately, one lid has been glued shut at some point, the gold painting is slightly worn, and one handle was discreetly soldered with silver some time ago. The set is in good condition. The movement has been fully overhauled by a master watchmaker (all parts derusted, pivots polished, worn bearings replaced, the anchor reground and polished, the escapement readjusted, springs checked for cracks and replaced where necessary, and expertly oiled with special lubricants), it runs for approximately 14 days and strikes the half-hours and full hours on a bell; it is marked ‘G. Fontaine’ and ‘Japy Frères’. The porcelain dial, decorated with floral motifs, is well preserved. Dimensions: Clock Height: 31 cm Width: 19 cm Depth: 16 cm Side table Height: 27 cm The pendulum, key and a bell are included in the offer.
